Derek started his career in National Civil Engineering working with his dad John in the 1980’s in road construction, retail parks, industrial estates, sports stadiums and ground works for housing sites and diversified into the house building industry with the formation of Carneil Homes in 1996. Since then Carneil Homes has completed many prestigious housing developments across Fife and Kinross together with conversions, extensions and steading developments.
Lynne and daughter Lynsey Davidson run the office taking care of all aspects of administration and accounts along with everything else that comes along with running a small family business. They are joined by the two resident office dogs Murphy and Bradley who can often be found snoozing under the desk.
Andy Doig and Brian Dargie are our in-house joiners with a wealth of experience in all types of joinery. Brian completed his joinery apprenticeship with us in 2019 and our newest member of the team Marcus Crawford joined us in 2024 as Apprentice Joiner gaining unrivalled on the job experience of the joinery trade working alongside Andy and Brian.
We also have a fixed team of nominated sub-contractors for our plumbing, electrical, decorating and roofing work to suit your needs.
Many of our tradesmen have worked with us for a considerable number of years and take great pride in the work they do.
